A true tribute to the Franconian art of breadmaking — our Franken Laib is as honest and flavorful as the region it comes from.


Made with a hearty blend of dark rye, wheat, and Ruchmehl, combined with a natural sourdough starter, a soaked altbrot mix, and a touch of traditional bread spice, it develops a remarkable depth of flavor and a unique, moist crumb.

 

This loaf is slow-fermented for up to 12 hours, allowing the natural aromas to mature fully. Its thick, rustic crust contrasts beautifully with the soft, aromatic interior, creating a balance of hearty character and refined taste.


Each bread is hand-shaped, stone-baked, and naturally leavened, making it a true artisan classic — just as it has been for generations in the bakeries of Franconia.
